They certainly are... but I'd take, say, "I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)" over all of them. It's even more brilliant! Couldn't agree with you more! "We have come here many times before To find your strategy to peace is war Killing helpless men, women and children That don't even know what they're dying for We can't trust you when you take a stand With a gun and bible in your hand And the cold expression on your face Saying give us what we want or we'll destroy...." Genius! I get chills when I hear this song...those lyrics are so brutally honest and genuine!!

the full-length album version is amazing! Stevie does a funny rap near the end...it's classic and if you don't like the groove, you can turn this record off it won't cost you nothin' but a penney, then you'll have a cough

I don't know how this song wasn't mentioned:
"Seems So Long"... the lyrics so simple but I just love the serene quality of the keyboards and synths and the drums making it a jazzy vibe plus Stevie kills it at the end. "Maybe Your Baby", I always considered to be his baddest funk song, followed by "Jesus Children of America", "Living for the City", "Boogie on Reggae Woman" and "Do I Do". I also love his instrumental "Contusion" from "Songs..." And "Ordinary Pain"... I can't decide which side I love first, Stevie's or Kimberly Brewer's? Hmm, I'm gonna have to go with the Chaka-inspired second half. A shame Chaka never got the chance to actually do it herself because of scheduling conflicts. And yeah "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" knocks!

And I think he scatted and then out of the blue in his other voice said "Earl's playing by himself"... I guess he was running out of things to do on the record. And that was like ten minutes and a half!

Wow,I didn't know that Chaka was supposed to sing that part. That would have taken the song to a whole new level! Kimberly does a good job, though.

Are you familiar with his 70s music? OK Superman you obviously need some help. If you're an album kinda person then you absolutely need all of Stevie's albums from Music of my Mind to Hotter than July. If not then At the close of the century Box Set is what you need.

"My Eyes Don't Cry", probably becuase it is still a favorite around Detroit. They used to play it on all the station on Fridays.
However, my favorite intro of all time (ever, not just Stevie) is "Boogie On Reggae Woman". I don't know what kind of keyboard or bass or whatever Stevie used to make that first noise, but it is so funky!

Very hard to pick to just one song of his but i'd have to say my fave is "Lately". I listen to it more than any of his other songs and I've always loved it. That song is perfection IMO. [Edited 7/13/07 12:26pm] "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Yeah,it's from the Original Musiquarium, which is a 2-record greatest hits album that contains four additional tracks: "That Girl","Do I Do","The Front Line" and "Ribbon In The Sky".

This wasn't easy, but I'll go with "Happier than the morning sun" followed closely by Superwoman, Always, Saturn, and Bird of Beauty. Hell, I could throw about 10 others on here.

Site crashed, so I'll have to try again.
Thanks for information about Do I Do, SoulAlive and Timmy84. IMHO Stevie Wonder has only done one bad song, Ebony and Ivory, but I blame the plodding beat and nursery rhyme lyrics on Paul Macartney. Stevie is such a good soul that he was probably happy to do a song that promoted racial tolerance.
