Why not release it next year...and tour next year like a normal person? I never understood why she has to tour a year later for most of her albums recently.

"Erotica" 1992-"The Girlie Show" 1993
and so on...

I think what she wants to do is...release it at the end of this year (October or November),spend several weeks doing alot of heavy-duty promotion (TV appearances, print interviews, etc),and then start the new year off being focused entirely on the tour.Remember,it takes several months to rehearse/prepare the type of show that she puts together.Plus, she only tours in the summertime,so everything would have to be ready to go by May/June 2008.This is what she did for 'Confessions' and it worked really well.

November 2007----release the new CD

February/March 2008---start rehearsing the new tour;second single/video from the album is released

April 2008---tickets go on sale for the tour

May 2008----the new tour begins

madonna's my girl but I don't want her to do anything. I saw her arms and she looks horribly stressed out and unhealthy. I'm excited about the result of the album cause I love madonna and I love timbaland's producing, but I don't think she should tour this time

EXCLUSIVE: Latest News on the New Album!

EXCLUSIVE--DrownedMadonna can reveal that during her latest trip to New York,Madonna had a meeting and a dinner with Warners Bros. Her managers Guy Oseary and Angela Becker were there.

They discussed possible release options for her new album, and whether there will be a release this year or early next year.Madonna would like to release her new album this year, around October-November,because she would like to tour next year.

At the moment, there is no definitive release date as of yet.

We also have been told that there are already 8 songs in the mixing studio and there will be an exclusive listening within the next few months---where 3 new songs will be heard---to only Warner executives.

Furthermore,Madonna does not include "Hey You" in the tracklist for now,but they are discussing whether or not to add it as a bonus track.Anyway, the new album will be very different from "Hey You".

cool But in my case, if the tour is in summer 2008, I'll be buying a ticket for a show that's a plane ride away! I know she ain't coming to my little island here!! lol

I feel so bad for the fans who live in places that she ignores lol Last year,a bunch of Australian fans started an on-line petition. It got her attention and she issued a statement, saying "Don't worry,I have no plans to retire anytime soon",so there is hope.

It's too bad that she won't do a lengthy, extensive world tour....six months or so,covering the entire globe. These quick,3-month summer tours are just not enough.

nod Yes, Confessions could have hit more markets in North America, maybe a few more places in Europe...then there's South America, other places in Asia besides Japan, Australia... But she'll always claim she can only tour while the kids have their summer break from school! wink

nod Yeah, I think it's just that she doesn't WANT to be on tour longer than four months or so!

Last year, right after screwing Australia for that supposed reason, she took off to Malawi for a week or so while the kids were in school.. wink Fine, they were in school, but she wasn't home with 'em!

What's wrong with just getting tutors for them? If they even just miss the first few weeks of the term while she hits a few more markets, big deal, it is not as if they have a normal school experience or normal life at all anyway. wink razz

stadiums? disbelief I hate seeing a show in a massive stadium. No thank you.

She and her people need to do a better job in picking the cities, though. How can she ignore Detroit (her hometown)? nuts or,play a boring place like Fresno.CA instead of...say Oakland?

lol Fresno! I couldn't believe they went there either, wonder what that was all about?!

I'm with you about the stadium gigs too: no thanks!! But if she goes to Oz I fear that's what will happen! neutral

Yes, I saw both Tokyo shows. I'm still here now, but due to leave in September '08. I am, however, planning a vacation in Australia in June/July '08. So maybe I could see her there, since I'm sure she'll make it down there this time around!! wink

Yes, I live in Japan but unfortunately nowhere near Tokyo: I'm way down south on Okinawa island. pout

Last year, it probably woulldn't have cost me much more to go back to the States to see her than what it ended up costing me to go to Tokyo! lol Plus I could have visited friends/family on the same trip! But it was cool to see the last show...I figured it would be her last big-azz show like that, but it sounds like she's gonna do it all yet again!

We'll see how it goes next year, and where I end up catching the show! biggrin
