I think Michael Jackson is a very disturbed person.

As a society, I think we'd do best to let him be for a good long while and respect the good parts of his past music, etc, leaving well enough alone his current slew of endlessly repackaged hits to peter out into an infinity. Like the unendending apologist sympathy ploys they truly are.

Perhaps some time down the track he, Whitney Houston and a good portion of middle America may sober up and regain consciousness.
