I agree about what you said about IOL being better than Midnight Love (which was a fine album IMO!) But do you really think IOL is as complex or brutally honest as Here My Dear was? I still think that Marvin could've make a big comeback out of IOL, but I guess it was too free-flowing for the public to accept. Check me out and add me on:

Still, I've always felt it was a little too long and kind of meandering. I say that as a huge Marvin fan -- it's still a great record. I hadn't heard In Our Lifetime in years; I'm really digging it more than I ever remember. "Praise" and "Love Party" are the jams!
