Minnie was the first to come to my brain. And then Denise. Although neither of them are my favorite female vocalists.
I don't think it's weird to describe a male voice as beautiful. Maybe it's because I'm a woman and a male voice affects me in a different way than it affects you. Luther Vandross's voice, to take an example, is what I call beautiful. It send chills down my spine and makes me feel like I'm listening to an angel... My vote for best female voice goes to: Whitney Houston. Male: Hard to decide but Luther is one of the most soulful. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Nat King Cole. Yeah, I do love Nat King Cole. Truly like no other. But my take on beautiful may be odd to others, u see. Like Brooke Benton's "Rainy Night In Georgia", Loius Armstrong's "It's A Wonderful World" and Bobby Womack's "Harry Hippy"are three of the most beautiful songs sung by male vocalists, to me.
