I never heard her sing the song.. but when i looked at her album cover.. and i saw the title purple rain... i ran and told my mom and sister.. and we all started laughing hard...

Having said that, though, I'm not crazy about her version of "Purple Rain." I just prefer Prince singing his stuff and NO ONE else. I do have ALL of Etta James albums/cds including this one. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.
