Coldplay-"Rush Of Blood To The Head"....a great F*&@^N album!

Just wanted to express my enthusiasm about the lastest from those 'lads' Coldplay...such a great album...the introductory alone "Politik" reminds me of those great intros in Prince's great 80's albums...SOTT, Parade, ATWIAD...in sucks you in and keeps you there!

My favorite trax (all of them but if I had to pick) are 'Clocks', 'In My Place', 'Warning Signs', 'The Scientist'...heck all of em!

It just great to hear an album full of true emotion and ambition! I've heard that Radiohead have been recording and their new sound is very "The Bends"...though I loved the last couple of Radiohead albums...I cant help but to feel that maybe they felt some heat with the current rise of BritPop...

Coldplay does remind me of early Radiohead...as does Haven, Starsailor, Travis and to some extent Doves...(all great bands though!) I think Thom Y is ready to reclaim his throne!...then again they are so unpredictable so I may just be pullin shit outta my arse!

I'm just so excited about Coldplay and what Radiohead will pull outta their hat next!

Your thoughts???

VpB...back from a too long break!

Coldplay n Radiohead r 2 of the most brilliant bands from the UK...Dark but beautiful music...Eye have both of Coldplay's albums on mp3 and have OK COMPUTER and THE BENDS...Radiohead's songs can really tear your soul apart...they r great 4 self-depression...Coldplay is dark 2 but their music is really uplifting...IN MY PLACE is da bomb...

I heard the alnbukm twice now and although it's very good, it failed to connect with me yet.. I know that it's just a matter of time, because I hear the wonderful musicanship, the haunting vocals and the dark atmosphere, all stuff I like. I simply need to give it a bit of time..

First, I thought that Coldplay's debut album was one of the best debut albums I'd heard in YEARS. To me, it's one of those great albums without a mediocre song anywhere on it.

Then, when the new cd was about to come out, I was expecting it to not be as good as the first, but it turns out that it is, in my opinion.

There's only been one other band for me that has impressed me this way with their first two releases: And that's RADIOHEAD.

Radiohead have continued to outdo themselves with each album. If you have not heard Kid A or Amnesiac, you are missing out on two of the best Rock/Anti-rock albums to come along in years. Thom Yorke is brilliant!

By the way, I'm well aware that Kid A and Amnesiac are not Radioheads first two releases. I was making two seperate points: that Coldplays first two Albums had the same effect over me as Radioheads first two, and that Kid A and Amnesiac are KICK ASS!!

That's all
