I saw a documentary on Winger.

THe members of his band were actually serious musicians, but the record company wanted to market a dumbed down pop image for him due to his looks. lol Which I thought were repulsive anyways falloff

The story of the years after his success were kind of tragic. I forget who , but I think it was his wife, died of some type of sickness (maybe cancer?), and a few other tragedies happened. He seemed to emerge from it well adjusted despite.

A great deal of the axe players in the band were classically trained. And some of Members are now teaching at Berk-lee School of Music.

I never was a fan of Winger but I felt their skills we're pretty tight. Most people at the org ( Org Vets) knew that I was more less a serious fan of The Time/ Jesse. And, I can go on about some other artist that I admire still till this day and he has my heart but I will keep it to myself for now. wink razz batting eyes

oh man, don't get me started on hair metal. i used to be a die hard fan of that genre and then boring ass grunge came in and rock n' roll hasn't been the same since. i haven't heard the poison covers yet accept for sexy back which i like. that doesn't even sound like Bret to me! eek i also loved faster pussycat, LA guns, warrant, skid row, guns n roses. i can go on and on! lol

I like "seventeen". My cut off that is "madalaine" though. I friggin' love that track.

Their second album was better though

"in the heart of the young"

"Miles away" is one of the best ever power ballads. I know that means fuck all to most people, but i love that song.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...I10SMxBjMg

I love the keyboard music

Some of that album is that crappy, second rate motley crewesque glam rock or whatever. But other cuts like the surprisenly prog rock like "rainbow in the rose" "under one condition" "in the day we'll never see" and the title track, make the album alot better bet for me, than the first one.

great song Sex

So this is love or so you tell me
As you're walkin' out the door
The months go by and I know for certain
It's not the love I'm looking for

But sometimes just for a moment
I reach out hope you're still there

CHORUS:
Miles away, no, you're turnin' back
And I just can't wait anymore
Miles away, nothing left of what we had
Just when I needed you most
You were miles away

It's hard to tell what you're goin' through
You kept your feelings locked inside of you
Open your heart and the chances are
What you feel, I'm feelin' too

If only just for a moment
Hold on to the dreams that we had

CHORUS

When times were tough and you were down and out
Who was there by your side?
But now you're gone and I'm tired of being alone
With only your promises

The loneliness just fades away
Thouoghts of you, just memories
No crying now for what we're missin'
Time won't forget what you meant to me

If only just for a moment
Hold on to the dreams that we had
