I need some damn cheering up so my song of the day is "LEAN ON ME" by BILL WITHERS/CLUB NEAVEAU

I've been missing in action all this week. Last Sunday, I had to take my mother to the Emergency Room and she is still in the hospital and not getting better at all. She is overweight and has lymphodemia in her legs. She is also a diabetic and her feet look horrible. We never knew that water could be dangerous but she had been drinking tons of water for months (when she gave up caffeine, Cokes, etc). All that water has her sodium low which has made her extremely disoriented.

My song of the day is "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers, which is a great slow song. However, I'm more in the mood for Club Neaveau's uptempo version because I need some pep right about now. Whichever you prefer, give it up for "Lean On Me".

It's sad to read about your mother's health, I hope the best for her, you and the rest of your family during this tough time. In this case, I'll choose Club Nouveau's version because' it is more upbeat and cheerful for the mood while Mr. Withers solid and strong version seems appropriate for more somber moments, i.e, if your mother was in serious critical condition with no chance for recovery. Also if you like, I'd recommend James Taylor's You've Got a Friend followed closely by Flack & Hathaway's and Carole King's original. Peace to you and your family.

Club Nouveau's 12" cover version is way better (if you can find it on vinyl).
