Smartest "artists" in Business

Ok awhile back we had a thread about who owns masters and stuff like that, but now just curious who do people think are the Smartest Business men or Women in the industry, not just about owning masters, but knowing how to manage themselves.???? Heres some of mine...

Jon Bon Jovi- To me one of the smartest people i have ever met (yes met) and also heard speak and conduct himself. Now u may not like him or his bands music or whatever, but this Kid from Jersey who used to sweep the floor at the Power Station in NYC really found his way, and proved a head for business. Case in point, would be after the Group hit BIG with Slippery and New Jersey and started taking the shows and market overseas, JON stepped in when he noticed the "lowlife" managers trying to not only split the group but make off with the cash. Jon told the group Im firing everyone and taking over, will u come with me? well the band said OK and now they rank as one of the biggest selling groups worldwide of all time.

Paul McCartney- Though some question his defaulting on the Beatles Catalog Paul still owns quite a bit, and now he has taken "HIS" catalog to starbucks in a move that is very much like DAVID BOWIE who i put on this list too.

Elton John- Well from a kid who didnt wanna sing, he just wanted to play piano, and also from someone who cant write lyrics (bernie does it all) and also doesnt read music (outside of a basic chord sheet) he is another who owns all his work, has his own division label, and also has so much money certain projects are all donated to charity.

I would also add to this list Madonna,Mariah and the UK girl group Girls Aloud.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
