WOO HOO! new George album coming out! http://rollingstone.com/n...?nid=16695
Clapton, McCartney Honor Harrison All-star concert falls on the anniversary of Beatle's death As the first anniversary of George Harrison's death approaches, his friends are planning an all-star concert in his honor. On November 29th -- the day the Beatle succumbed to cancer a year ago -- Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Ravi Shankar and the cast of Monty Python will put on a Harrison tribute at London's Royal Albert Hall. Tickets for the show, which will be filmed for a TV special to air in early 2003, go on sale October 11th. Harrison's posthumous final album, Brainwashed, is due out ten days before the concert (). When he started working on the album in late 2000, he knew he might not be around to finish it. During his final months, Harrison collaborated with his son Dhani (hot) and producer Jeff Lynne on preliminary recordings. Dhani, twenty-four, and Lynne have spent much of this year building on those early sessions to make a gorgeously understated eleven-song album full of bluesy grooves, sea-chantey melodies and ukulele strumming. November will also see the re-release of Harrison's other solo albums (). Aside from All Things Must Pass, reissued in early 2001, his solo records have long been out of print. Prior to his death, Harrison told Rolling Stone, "Go in a record shop and go to H, and you'll see Hendrix. I don't think there are any of my records there. I haven't bothered about it, because I don't really look at myself as just being a musician. But I want to get all my back catalog out and then put out all my new stuff, and then I can go back in the garden." Amen!

Can't wait to hear it.
And I hope they will re-release all his other albums also (with bonus tracks) since they're almost all out of print for many years.

When you said new George album, I was thinking George Clinton, cuz I heard somewhere he was working on something. Harrison's good too though. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance.
