I'll give her this credit.

She reinvented herself everytime she came out with a new effort since "Like A Prayer", every album is a new statement; musically as well as lyrically.

I STILL can't stand the bitch, though.

Nelly Furtado went from "I'm Like A Bird" and "Turn Off The Light"
to "Promiscious Girl" and "Maneater"

I wouldn't call it a complete change. She was already hanging with Timbaland on the remix of "Turn Off the Light" and "Get Ur Freak On." Anyway, she's much better than Beyoncé.

I'm sorry..but I just Hate seeing Timbaland getting on stage with her. Since when did he become a performer? He needs 2 just stay in the Studio.

She changed 4 the worse music wise when she hooked up with Tim. Sure she has hits..but she lost her credibilty as an Artist and is now than another Timbaland puppet.

shrug I liked the big singles from the first album, but I like her much better as a "Timbaland puppet." Loose is her first consistently good album IMO.

Sad but true. She's sacrificed her originality to go Pop. In way, I kind of knew she was going through a transition in her early days when she started pairing up with Missy Elliot for earlier projects.

sad

I mean, yeah, her voice was kinda funny, but I really liked some of her older stuff.

You're right. And, her earlier material in her catalogue was more original.

I thought of them too, but then again they bring some of that old school Funk/Punk flavor back on "Stadium Arcadium". I mean, songs like "Charlie" and "Hump De Bump" I would rate with some of their best and funky material. So I wouldn't list them just yet.

Really? I didn't buy Stadium Arcadium because I was so bored with By The Way. They milked that one for too long.

Yes, I liked Nelly's first two albums, but Loose was her best by far. I wish more artists could sell out that well.

Terry Hall, after The Specials went on to form bands that weren't 2-tone ska. Don't know if this counts or not.

Cocteau Twins's first album doesn't really sound like Treasure or any album after it. Not a drastic change, but noticeable.

all of her albums are differnt.
The First is a total dance pop
LAV has more of an early 80s RnB influence
TB is transition to AC
LAP is her first and only recorded with a studio band with 70s influence
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Well, if you listen to her catalogue, you notice the difference. Also, she's added more bluesy tunes to her repertoire which isn't bad at all.

ahhh..yeah, she has...but its a subtle change...kinda like how sade has evolved...but IMHO the core of the sound is still intact.

And I know it took about 8 albums, but Depeche Mode evolved from a fey, new-wave inspired synth pop band to a dark, drug addicted grungy rock band.
