Classic 80's jam of the day!

"Somebody's else's guy" by Jocelyn Brown. Damn, this song is timeless imo. She sings the hell of out this track. Anyone else feeling it? Is this Vainandy approved?? biggrin

It's OK. I was into much harder stuff that year such as "Freakshow On The Dancefloor" by The Barkays, "Operator" by Midnight Star, "Outrageous" by Lakeside, etc. "Somebody Else's Guy" was simply OK. I bought the 45.

That album is great from start to finish. There are some great fast jams such as "Freakshow On The Dancefloor", "Dirty Dancer", "Sex-O-Matic", "Dance, Party, Etc., "Dangerous". There's also one of my favorite slow jams "Make Believe Lovers".

The Barkays play around with their sexuality on that album on the track "Loose Talk".....

People are always asking why
If I'm straight or if I'm bi
You know, they say I like it every way
At least that's what the rumors say
They like to chit and chat about what I am
But frankly I don't give a damn
Well, I've been told that I'm obscene
But is you closet really clean
It's my business what I do
And that's the way it ought to be with you

They wanna know if I'm a miss or a mister
Some even suspect that I make love to my sister
What they don't know is, I'm just happy, I'm not gay
No matter what the rumors say
All the girls love me
All the men love me
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha

Those motherfuckers were bad and they had the wild look on the back of the album to prove it.

Sexomatic, Yo Place Or Mine, Freakshow On The Dancefloor were priceless Barkay momements in the 80's. The video were on fire along with the tracks and the brothas hair doos which were something else eek .
