Great Proof on how UnOriginal Hip Hop Producers are now days. I heard few samples that Timbaland stole that I thought was him on Keyboard. THis has further pushed my respect 4 him down a notch.
sad

Prince..Keep it Original!

Cut The Cake is actually from The Average White Band unless TOP covered it. Prince has plenty of samples used in his music, most notably Lyin' Ass Bitch by Fishbone which is the hook for Billy Jack Bitch. Also on 7 , he samples Lowell & McFadden's Tramp, which was also done by Otis Redding. As long as the samples are cleared as the proper people are paid, I don't mind them, James Brown and George Clinton would be multi millionaires if they were properly paid fair use for their songs.

People think your just slappin another song ontop of yours
but its creating a whole new song from smething old...
which aint a piece of cake...

Within 1988-93 (my favorite hip-hop era), the samples of James Brown & The P-Funk All-Stars were THE most often used, hand down. nod
