Help, I can't create tracks anymore like I used to. The past two years or so I could create/write music just like that, but lately it seems nothing is coming to mind.


How do I get that creativeness back in my producing.

A good first step might be to put all of your equipment away for a week, clear the space you use and start fresh.

I was having writer's block for nearly 2 months and couldn't come up with a song so I simply put down my journal and decided "when the groove hits me, I'll catch it". I didn't write but I slowly started having ideas, then one day I was online and saw the words "Cosmic Girl" and the hit me. Then about a week ago, I wrote another song. I can't think of shit to make. I might do a bumpin' drum track, but can't think of a bassline or a melody. Shit is driving me crazy.

I'd favour the first idea. Things always come together eventually. It may take a while. Who knows. But don't even worry bout it! We all have infinite creativity. It can't be lost.
One of the great Motown songwriters once said he'd sometimes write a hundred songs before he came up with one he knew was a winner.
I wouldn't stop listening to music either. I'd prob do the opposite. Perhaps even put one of my favourites on and learn how to play it on guitar or piano. Just for fun!

That's the thing: I can rarely come up with a bassline . There was a time when I had the melody but after I wrote the song, I forgot it. Plus, I can't record right now so I sometimes have to come up with a new melody
