The Ultimate James Brown Band?

We all know that 'the Godfather of Soul' always had the best, tightest, funkiest band with him. But what would be the ultimate JB band. Here is the catch, you can't use anyone that has ever played with JB. So no Bootsy, Bobby Byrd, Maceo, Clyde, ect.

Pick the musicians that you would think fit James Brown's style and sound the best to make the ultimate JB Band.

-2 Drummers
-2 Bassist
-3 Guitar players
-2 Organist
-1 Keyboardist
-3 Percussion players
-Horn Section (Sax/Tromboune/ect.)

-3 male vocalist
-2 female vocalist
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

Yes, I know. I'm a big fan of Larry's playing. I still don't think he fits the bill. James isn't a slap kinda guy, in my opinion smile

You know, that has always bothered me. Stupid fanboys over @ Prince:Music & More disrespect Larry all the time for no real reason. I mean, P approached Larry and wanted to talk about the Bible, not the other way around and I'm sure he is old enough to make up his own damn mind about his religion. This whole 'Larry brainwashed Prince' is bs disbelief
Most of dem Prince:Music & More people don't know jack shit about music.

I never dug on that vibe and I never well. Larry does come across as an arrogant bitch sometimes(taking some of the credit for stuff he didn't do like Sly's Riot & Fresh) but so what? He's guilty of the same thing Miles Davis, Marvin, Prince and the rest of the gifted musicians are guilty of, thats beside the point.

What baffles me is how alot of my dear fellow 'Orgers' attempt on the insanity that Mr.Graham is only an "extra" in music history. The man had practically built his own standard,,,which is not an easy line to cross mind you,,,,and I STILL see people downplay him.

And yet @ the same breath, say that Rhonda Smith & Andre Cymone were the BEST bassists that worked with Prince lol

I got nothing against these two,,,,but comparing the 2 is like saying Kenny G can smoke Cannonball Adderley confused

As far as I know, he only claims to have played on two tracks on Fresh. Que Sera Sera and one other track, which I can't seem to recall at this moment.

"If it were left up to me".
Intresting that when I saw "Graham central station" in London '96
he did "If you want me to stay",so I always thought that was
Larry's bassplaying ´til I recently read that it's Sly playing bass on that.
