I'll go out on a limb and say, I believe that you're younger than I am, but you guys are the torch bearers of the new Mil. Whatever genre you're into, make sure you've done your homework on them. Why? because in about 2 decades, the new Gen will be curious to know, how? when? and where? This is History we're living, plain and simple. I've heard that Funk is dead! Yea ok. How could it ever be? 4/4 will always be 4/4. And you can't get to 2, without dealing with the 1. Some may not listen anymore, but it sure as H ain't dead.....unless you don't know how to count. you kinda lost me with the numbers LOL but I get the jist of what you're saying yes, we must know the roots before we can truly appreciate the genre that's why I'm constantly diggin further & further back because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Funkadelic is my favourite band of all time. I just hate it when people lump the two together. I mean they shared more or less the same players but that's where it ends.
Funkadelic was one of the hardest rock bands ever! Those guys had like 3 lead guitarists at some point in Eddie Hazel, Michael Hampton and Blackbird Mcknight not forgetting rhythm players like Gary Schider and Glenn Goines. I mean they pretty much invented metal with super stupid. My favs being Let's take it to the stage, Funkadelic and Standing on the verge I never really got into parliament but I do own but I do own Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome and Mothership Connection.

They have great tracks but they also have a lot of tracks I don't necessarily like that much. You might want to cruise the "tube" and look for that Live version of Dr. Funkenstien (after the ship lands) that intro is CRAZY (loop material fo' sho)
George is in that white Mink/Wig, Lol, that intro might make you hurt yourself, Everybody has their signature, to me that intro IS P-Funk. First let Glen call the Mutha'ship in.. http://www.youtube.com/wa...fdesO8CdC8 Then check out the good Doctor Funkenstein http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search= Goins call to the mothership made you want to testify. Rest In Peace Glen Goins. I think I hear the Mothership Commin.
