with his last two albums selling close to 200,000 copies in their first week on release in the us and the indication that he would be around those figures again with the upcoming ' planet earth ' album ....prince looks to have a great chance of another number one album in america...unless there is a hot artist releasing an album in the same week then i dont see anything to stop him....

Since when is a new Prince album considered non-Prince?

Well July 24th as far as i can see isnt a big release day, and as long as he does something "media" wise for the USA right before its release or during that week he will easily have a number one. Just a qucik note that GIVEAWAY cd's at the shows this time around WILL NOT count as sales.

I dont really follow Prince's new stuff. Not since "rainbow children". I skipped on "musicology" and "3121" because they just sound like sub-standard pop from today, judging by the singles I have heard.

to tell you the truth i'll definitely get his new album but with a name like Planet Earth i'm worried that it will be some nature type album with crickets n' shit for sound effects!
