eminem=pop hero?

I really don't like this guy so someone please tell me how he is the savior of pop radio? Without me, Sorry Mama, Daddy's Gone crazy, MTV Video of the year, male performer??? Are today's kids just idiots or are their parents and siblings listening too?

I didn't listen to what my parents were into but I did like what my big sister was into..EWF, Bootsy Collins, Brick, Prince, Patrice Rushen, even Streisand.

Why didn't eminem's 15 mins run out after his last cd? Like Vanilla Ice, Ice T, Snoop, Bone thugs n harmony, Luke, etc.

Please tell me what is going on???

I'd hardly call 'Snoop' 15 minutes of fame.

He's released over 4 solo albums and a clutch of other collaborative projects. His last CD 'The Last Meal' sold well and his new forthcoming CD is widely anticpated.

I think if Eminem keeps singing about the same ol' crap (his Mom, ect...boo hoo) people will soon grow tired of him.

I know I am.

TRON

I used to really like him but I hate the new cd. The first single was perfect but his angry schtick is played out.

He is Witty,Charming,Cleaver&talks about Pop Culture.but having said all of that MC Search from 3rd base would Spank His Ass on the Mic anyday.but Rap nowadays doesn't have anybody trying to bring any Edge.He is also working with DR.Dre.alot of factors go into what Makes somebody Blow up.Timing you know?

Snoop has had much more than 15 mins of fame! Yeah so he's getting a little side tracked right now, but I think he's one of the most talented rappers out there!

I thought it was Hip Hop Honies he was doing and not Girls caught on tape? lol

While I appreciate that he obviously has some kind of lyrical talent, I don't dig his music what so ever. I really don't enjoy music with rapping or whatever and I think Im just realising why. It skims over the surface of feelings. I really enjoy music where the it takes time for the person to express where they are at, not say as much as possible in the same time.

Plus, I have a neighbour from hell who occasionally decides to play him at 2.15am at full blast. I'm on the second floor and he is on the ground floor and it is very, very loud and very, very annoying. I have tried, the only artists I like are Roots Maneuver (sp?) and Buster - he is so animated and funny!! I like watching him more than I do listening to him I think. And Roots are different. I also like the way French rap sounds. Kinda sexy! But eminem just turns me off man.

mistermaxx - what is MC Search doing now? I really liked 3rd base a lot but mainly because of him, his rhymes were tight
