Charlie Wilson Sues Over Commercial R&B star Charlie Wilson is suing Capitol Records, Emi Music and Heineken Inc, claiming a song he recorded with Snoop Dogg was used in a beer commercial without his permission.
The frontman of The Gap Band, filed a lawsuit at Manhattan federal court on Friday (8Jun07). It alleges portions of Beautiful were used in an ad for Heineken Premium Light Beer - having been licensed by Capitol without the proper permission. Wilson also claims Emi owes him hundreds of thousands of dollars for Beautiful and another song he recorded with Snoop Dogg, You Got What I Want. I hope he loses simply for recording with a grown man with a childish cartoon name. "Peanuts" should be suing the shit hopper.

black rnb artists are always being exploitade by these large labels who think they can just make a profit in any way they see fit. Uncle Charlie as he is unaffectionately named by snoop..he has an amazing voice. IN addition his 2 solo albums are classic.. we dont have singers like this no mo'.. Get yo' money uncle Charlie.
