yeah, some of that is just plain mulletry. Agreed. Mullet With overusage of Pomade and everything but the kitchen sink. Speaking of Mullet videos, I bet next Anxiety somebody will start doing an Mullet Tribute Thread with Headliner Billy Ray Cyrus. These things are known to happen at the org.

I ROCKED my curl for years no drip here wave nouveau..... of course I don't have any pictures here to show you. one aside once my 3 year old nephew was watching me get ready for work in the morning and he looked at me and said "auntie you gonna spray your head cuz your curl is drrrryyy" that's what my cousin gets for watching comic view around that boy We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Rick James was better known for his braids. He did rock a curly weave in the late 80s (Glow album). **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Like others have said, that list is so off that you wonder if someone who either is not black, is not familiar with the 1980s black music scene or some combination of both created it. Acts like Full Force, Ready For The World, The Deele, Troop and Jesse Johnson circa 1985 are derisively synomymous with the Jheri curl style.
Prince and DeBarge may have worn a Jheri curl, but they certainly did not have that drip-drip look that was obviously worn by the aforementioned people. Lisa Lisa is a Hispanic woman with straight hair, for goodness sake! When I think of Jheri curl artists, here are the people I associate with the look: 1.) Full Force
2.) Ready For The World
3.) Michael Jackson
4.) TROOP
5.) The Deele
6.) Jesse Johnson
7.) Eazy-E
8.) Ice Cube
9.) Kangol Kid (on the left) [Edited 6/21/07 19:14pm] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I was a teen-ager and in my early 20s during the Jheri curl era. Not only that, I was sort of a Jheri curl snob because I had a rule I would never date or have sex with a girl who had one!
