Good lord, what I wouldn't give to be your shadow sometimes! You and Mara are always on top of whats good in music. I've been digging the Longblondes alot lately, after seeing you mention them (Giddy Stratosperes ) If you will, so will I

I've been digging the Longblondes alot lately, after seeing you mention them (Giddy Stratosperes ) Nice! "Giddy Stratospheres" and "Weekend Without Makeup" are my favorites on the album. I'm angry now, 'cos Nicole Atkins is the opening act on the Long Blondes U.S. tour except for the NY show on the 9th so I bought a ticket to see her on the 6th and missed the Noisettes which apparently was a much better show. And The Long Blondes were also better on the 9th than they were on the 6th. Nicole screwed me up. Tonight is Lily Allen.

This month was unusual. Next week is the Peaches show, but I only have one concert lined up for July--The White Stripes. I won't know what to do with myself.

Saturday, July 21. I wonder if I'll check it out? It was hot as hell last year when the Scissor Sisters had top billing. Blistering heat, piercing sun, not a cloud in site in the dead of July. I don't know if I can muster the stamina endure that when they're all I really want to check out, to be honest. Not really interested in sitting through the rest of the acts. @ the Knitting gig, Shingai said they'd do another headliner here in September. I'm much more keen on that.

I've put it on my calendar. That's a Friday, so it's going to be at the FUN party, that's where I saw Kavinsky last month. It's kinda interesting that it's not being advertised on their myspace. I'm hoping their Sept date gets confirmed on their myspace soon. Lots of artists haven't upped their fall tourdates yet. FUN is a Friday dance nite and they have resident DJs spinning before, admist and after the big name acts they host. I wonder if the Noisettes will do an hour long set like they did at Knitting? I'm thinking they will 'cause Kavinsky was the headliner @ the last FUN party and he spun for a hour or more. They have a decent soundsystem in there last time I saw Soulwax and Klaxons @ that venue. ... [Edited 7/3/07 18:06pm]
