Second biggest hit from 1986 and by far my favorite L.R song

That piece of crap song won the Oscar over Miss Celie's Blues from The Color Purple.

I hate this song One of Lionel's worst songs

After this and the equally dreadful "Dancing On The Ceiling",I almost gave up on him.

I never liked that song.

Nope. Unlike a lot of folks here, I actually like a lot of solo Lionel Richie. I just think this song is terrible.

I TOTALLY AGREE! After "Can't Slow Down" was such a big hit, Lionel decided 2 go stright pop for the next album and it was HORRIBLE.

"Love Will Find A Way" is my favorite solo Lionel Song. It is great vocally as well as musically.

No,I think his first two solo albums are fine.The first album featured fantastic songs like "You Are","Tell Me","Round and Round" and "You Mean More To Me".

'Can't Slow Down' is even better,containing one gem after another..."Penney Lover","Love Will Find A Way" and "Stuck On You".Even "All Night Long (All Night)" can be alot of fun.

The problems began with "Say You Say Me" and the subsequent 'Dancing On The Ceiling' album By this time,Lionel had stopped doing R&B altogether.He favored bland,commercial pop.The ballads were sterile and the uptempo tracks were groove-less.It was sad to watch him going this route and I don't think he's ever really recovered.
