Betty Davis radioshow interview tonitght "Rickey Vincent hosts the funk world's most in-depth tribute of 70's funk vixen Betty Davis!
Featuring her first interview in decades, and band members -- including Gregg Errico of Sly and the Family Stone -- that played with her during the wild years of her act. Betty Davis, the woman that turned Miles Davis onto Jimi Hendrix, and changed the world of music, has recorded at least 4 albums of her own outrageous, ferocious, hard core funk-rock. Two of these albums have been recently reissued in the US. We will be blasting all of them on Friday night!" http://www.kpfa.org /peace Manki [Edited 6/8/07 12:17pm]

Knowing the deal is something you get when you are hungry enough to ask questions and do your research about something..anyone into prince should know about sly..Miles..and Jimi...and anyone that really knows about sly should know about graham.. and anyone that knows about graham... should know that he laid down some badass shit for betty davis and other Sly band members (along with graham) cut the albums all the Newbies are raving about in 2007 ! AND anyone that knows about Jimi would know that betty had a crush (possibly a fling) with him..and Betty was directly responsible for getting her husband miles hooked up with jimi and anyone that knows about jimi would also know that he was a great influence on miles in the late 60's from fashion to music...Sly was as well...Sly,Miles,& Jimi 3 people EVERY Prince fan should be Hip to..all have major betty davis Connections !
THATS KNOWING THE DEAL ! [Edited 6/9/07 3:14am]

..better late than never I always say. I got hip to Betty Davis when her CD's were released in bootleg form back in 1993. The record store by me had to order them from England and they were $40 a pop. But worth it.
