If I Was Your Vampire - 5/5
I love this song. It's the best MM song in years. It's very emotional and obviously about his break-up with Dita Von Tesse. It's very powerful. My (tied) favourite from this album.

Putting Holes in Happiness - 4/5
Another really good one. As I recall saying about this song in a previous thread about this album, it's classic rock that's been raped by Manson.

The Red Carpet Grave - 3.5/5
Again, classic rock with a Manson twist. This has more of a British invasion sounds to it IMO. Whereas "...Holes..." is more southern rock.

They Said That Hell's Not Hot - 3.5/5
Again, a very good song. The album is consistently good. That's what I like about it so much.

Just a Car Crash Away - 4.5/5
Beautiful, amazing. I cried listening to this song for the first time. Unfortunately, I gave it a 4.5 because of Manson's poor vocals. But still, he manages to evoke bucket loads of emotion in that strained voice of his.

Heart Shaped Glasses - 2.5/5
Not too good, not too bad. I liked this song the first few times I heard it. But it gets pretty annoying after a while. I think the music video and very poor live performance MM have done of this song have ruined it for me.

Evidence - 4/5
Great song. When I heard the full album for the first time, this stood out as my favourite. But since then other songs have grown on me more than this one has.

Are You The Rabbit - 4.5/5
Fucking great. Hard arse rock. Sounds like a song that would be very popular in strip clubs. I really, really want this song to be a single and the music video to be MM playing in a strip club off to the side while Evan Rachel Wood strips to it. That's be so hot. It doesn't get a full 5 out of 5 because other songs on the album outshine it. It's still one of the best MM songs ever though.

Mutilation is the Most Sincere Form of Flattery - 4/5
Another good song. This song is about the so called "emo" bands that seems to be ripping off Manson. This song is such a Manson ego trip. But that's why we love Manson. Because he can't get over himself. Which is cool, because while he's talking himself up he's paying out the BS emo bands of today.

You and Me and the Devil Makes 3 - 4.5/5
Another awesome song. This song is so sexy. It's definitely one of Manson's best. But just like "...Rabbit" it doesn't get the full 5 out of 5 because there are better songs.

Eat Me, Drink Me - 5/5
Last but definitely not least is the title track. It ties with "...Vampire" as my favourite song on the album.

Overall rating - 4/5
Great album. Better than the previous album (Golden Age of Grotesque). But how does it stack up to the other albums? It's better than Portrait, better than Antichrist Superstar (most wouldn't agree with that, but I have always thought that album is over-rated. It's very close to Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood and I'll just have to let this album grow on me more before I decide if it's better than those albums or not. As it stands, I think Mechanical Animals is the best MM album, closely followed by Holy Wood. But I have to say, Eat Me Drink Me is not far behind. At the moment it's my personal favourite MM album, but I will have to give it more time to age before I make the final call.

Yes, and it was pretty bad. He was obviously drunk. And for some reason the band is playback but his vocals are live. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yMO_qq_oup0

But they've performed other songs from the album. They are currently on tour. Here are some of the videos from their tour I could track down on YouTube...

he's so full of shit. rolleyes none of the bands he's convinced are ripping him off are even remotely influenced by him.

and besides, he's a hypocrite for thinking he's entirely original anyway. neutral
