Wow! This is a lonely world! To actually go to a concert of someone who you obviously don't care for with the anticipation of opening a thread (before anyone else) on a worn out trend (Beyonce bashing) is very heartbreaking. In fact, the thread is very nonspecific - what actually sucked about the show? If you want your thread to have some relevance beyond reject, social, grade school commentary, tell the rest of us who haven't attended her concert...yet, say something with a little bit more meat on it. Sometimes these threads can be highly informative, sometimes just plain one dimensional: depending on the intention of who is writing them.

actually i like beyonce...thats why i went neutral she just really sucked..thats all smoker

This person is definitely lying.

At another music board, someone overseas had left a recap and posted photos taken from the Wembley concert. The pictures show Beyonce had multiple costume changes, not just "1" costume. When asked if it was sold-out, they said there were just some seats left at the top which are just nosebleeds. So something is not adding up.

Anytime she's been on TV she's dancing and singing at the same time? Not sure about that whole thing.
Funny, she did wear a silver dress last night on the Alma awards biggrin

none of the current stars cut their teeth in clubs or tours.

in the past people actully worked their ass of to get to the recording studio for a major label. older audiences don't want to go see someone just cutting their teeth on performing, and with the cost of tickets now and the weak economy parents aren't spending the money to send their kids to see these people perform. maybe in 10+ years if they are still in the game they will have same success touring as say Reba, Bette, the Stones, U2, Madge and all the other vets of the circut.

i agree. they need to get up off the hype of trying to break records and sell out venues and play places where they can actually cut their teeth and perform. i don't know if she sold out her venues here in germany (stadiums), but it makes more sense to me that given the economy the world over, the fact that ticket prices are too damned high anyway, AND her latest joint does not have the fever that her debut generated when she was coming off of beyonce's stepchildren, er uh, i mean destiny's child---she and many arist like her should do say, like mary j. blige does and stick to playing european opera houses or smaller congress centers where you KNOW you're going to pack it with fans. and you all have it GOOD in the u.s. as pop acts often run about 80 euro (100 bucks) for a standard ticket! for that money i can get 3-4 tickets to see, say incognito, brand new heavies, hell chuck berry even! these pop people are nuts! even streisand just got cancelled in italy because they believed as an artist, the price she wanted for tickets (i think 150-2000 bucks) was 'immoral'. i think it gets to a point people just feel like' hey, we really appreciate you for the fact that you can sing and dance but DAMN. how much more mone can you possibly WANT from us?'mad

I couldnt agree more. Some of these artists just dont have the stage presence and come off awkward on stage. Ticket prices should be lowered too...

I agree with you all. I would go see Frankie Beverly & Maze over any of these top ten acts anyday.

THANK YOU. And chances are we usually get to see them as part of a multi act bill with acts that are so far advanced in their talent and abilities compared to most of these young acts...it's just so much more, dunno... fufilling. they don't need pyrotechics and 15 dancers onstage to create a stisfying MUSICAL experience for their audience cool

this is pretty accurate. I have seen the pre show before her concert. and everything that was posted about the london concert as far as what was seen had to have been true.and I still think the price is awfully high. wow rent was this price in the 1980's. well bee your company believe's in you a lot. but whoever posted how the concert went it is definitely accurate.

i was asking cause I really bought the tickets but AFTER that I tried to look her up online and all the tour pics I found were just of her in silver, looking a bit like a drag queen and now I'm having second thoughts cause I paid so much money for them. Beyonce is one of the few artists today I enjoy and I love her voice, so I'm hoping she gives a good show. But after reading this, I'm having second thoughts

It's strange hearing the negative thoughts about Beyonce's concert. Every single time that she has been on TV, she is performing LIVE-not lip synching. Not only does she sing wonderfully live, she also gives an energetic performance that is never boring. My daughter went to her concert during her last solo tour and said that she sounded even better in person and that the energy never let up. I truly hope that people aren't judging her by some of these other "dance artists" because she is so much more than that. Beyonce is truly the hardest working woman in show business and easily one of the hardest working entertainers-male or female-on the scene today. She deserves all of the success that she is receiving. She works "Hard For Her Money"!! smile

Bravo!!!You hit the nail on the head. There are some people who just can't wait to start threads and bash this talented young lady. I have never heard her say a nasty word about anyone; yet, the jealousy that these people show towards her is really pathetic. Seriously, I really think that the people who bash her feel threatened by her talent and beauty. She is an excellent performer, has a great voice, is drop-dead gorgeous, classy, has the love of her family and man. Oops, maybe those are the reasons that people hate on her so much.

I also like how she sounds good live from what I've seen on tv and all her energy, I haven't been impressed with a performer like that since the jackson siblings, that's why I bought tour tickets.

I went to see Beyonce in Madrid a couple weeks ago and
even though I didnĀ“t really care for her as an artist I
have to say I was pleasently surprised by her show. She
displays a lot of energy throughout the entire concert
and she sounds pretty good live.

I think she is really talented but she needs better writers
and also lose the annoying Jay Z.

all of it wasn't, it sounded live to me. Janet on the other hand, is good at lip synching and having pre recorded vocals that make her sound live.

I don't get it... the thread is about Beyonce and yet you attack Janet to make a point.... I love both of them.... shit the whole world knows that Janet doesn't have strong vocals... I hate when people put down one entertainer to hype another...

i think i saw pics of her tour.. and her outfits look exactly the same as they did from the last tour.....

I really excepted better from beyonce..as far as quality of music...

but now her music stinks... i don't really care to see her succeed.... Im not rooting for her to fail either... but she needs to get a reality check, stop being fake, and stop with the ego...

Yes, she did that song disbelief and she also sang a rendition of the Gnarls barkley song 'CRAZY'

thing about 'unbeweavable' Beyonce is that she hasn't re-invented herself in the slightest since she was a skinny teen with no booty n fake hair... The Tina Turner and bootyshake thing was cool when she did it the first thousand times but now its played out like the moonwalk and the detroit crawl...She needs 2 come up with some new stuff..like Beyonce breakdance and shit smile

Actually I don't know if you know came across a review at the beginning of the tour from Australia but she has requested that at all of the shows that the media can only take pics of her from the first song then that's it. This probably explains why there is only pics of her in the silver dress going around...

thanks for answering my question beautiful one

I'm way more into janet than beyonce, so I'm not really bashing her, it's well known among janet fans that she lip synchs, but blends it in with live vocals as well.
