I never got into that depressing sorta dance music (industrial goth or whatever), but did get a few ministry albums when i was 15/16, and that was one of them. A song that i like called "just like you" is pretty funny though, and pretty poppy aswell. Its off "twitch" I think?

Loved LoRaH as well - I played the heck out of Flashback in particular. That's got to be one of the most purely, enjoyably aggressive songs ever. [Edited 6/14/07 19:32pm]

All that aggressive shit dont sit with me anymore. Hasn't done for years. Musically i was getting more into aggressive/depressing music with typical subject matters about isolation, revenge, murder, anger, whatever. In a way, its just as contrived as "I should be so lucky" by Kylie Minogue. Something so extreme must be contrived in some way. Deliberately nopisy aggressive vs deliberately poppy and inoffensive. Heck, from Ministry to someone I listen to now like MOR legend Paul Anka. Both are as contrived as eachother in a sense, but people enjoy them nonetheless.

Some of Death In June is really nice--in a an eastern-European, fascist kinda way. I would never attend any of their shows though.

Leaving the Scud Mountain Boys aside, I figure you're about as big a music snob as I am. Those (and the NCS) are goth records. Or in the case of Malice Mizer, goth-ish. The NCS was a side project of one of my favorite bands of all time Mors Syphilitica. It's more ritual/medieval sounding than their regular goth stuff. InfraWarrior is the first solo album by Monica Richards of goth band Faith And The Muse--another one of my faves. Moonsongs is also a big fan of theirs. And Malice Mizer is a famous Japanese visual band that broke up a few years ago. There are a few orgers that are fans of them like MikeMantronik (who recommended that album to me--good call Mike, wherever you are!) and weepingwall. orger edit [Edited 6/15/07 16:30pm]
