ALL other songs were STOLEN. The album is essentially a cover album of blues and folk songs but the original artists and writers were not given credit. This whole album with the exception of Good Times Bad Times is blatant plagiarism.

Yes your correct on others. I was pissed at first but hey what can you do?

I had all the originals on my laptop and Zep's are superior.

Go on bearshare and dl all the originals to compare; that's what i did. It's the same for nearly every album unfortunately. You just have to get passed it and try to enjoy the music.

Whole lotta love for e.g was taken from steve merriot. The vocals are exactly the same; even the stops and the ending.

Yeah, I figured it was old news and you if anyone would have already known about it...but I was still shocked hearing this for the first time.

I'm seriously not going to get into all this again, BUT Blind Faith's album came out after Zep I actually, which was recorded in October '68, so it's hard to say who was influenced by who. I hear a similar melody, but nothing blatant.

Robert Plant put together a comp CD a couple of years ago that featured all the songs and original artists thay they were influenced by and nicked tunes/lyrics from. I don't think he's all that proud of the fact that they didn't credit some other artists in the beginning. Just a guess though.

Countless artists back then took old blues and folk songs and made them their own. Zep's mistake was not crediting people when those similarities became too close to the orginals. I still love them though.

They really grew as artists though with their subsequent albums (after I and II I mean) and developed their own sound. I still adore the really heavy, straightforward blues-rock sound of their early stuff though. Rock doesn't get any better than that IMO.

Then again, I don't much listen to Queen apart from the first Greatest Hits album, so maybe that's why.
