So this kid I work with.....(oy...I'm old)

Ok, so he's gonna be 20 near the end of the month so he's really not a "kid" per se, but still...

The other night at work, it was kinda slow, we were listening to CD's while we were cleaning up the kitchen to go home. I was playing a couple cd's of mine that I really don't get to listen to at work much cuz when the other cooks are there they kinda take over the boombox (mad!)

So, anyhoo...at one point this kid goes "what band is this? they sound really great...I've never heard anything quite like them, are they new?"

Oy....

I was playing Duran Duran.

I feel so old now bawl

Well...to be fair, it was one of their earlier songs.

The story has a happy ending tho...after all that he bought a copy of Astronaut and thinks it's the best thing ever. Up till now the kid mainly played stuff like Manson and NIN lol

Um, if he thinks Astronaut is the best thing ever, the first two albums may give him a heart attack. lol

Well, at least he had the good taste to like it. Most of these little brats today would hate it. Maybe there is hope for the future. lol

i'm 24 and knew who duran duran was around kindergarten time so I feel as old as you guys cause I still listen to them. Wild Boys is one of their greatest works of art, and my teenager sister thinks they're awesome and loves hungry like the wolf
