These ladies need to be added to that list. Though never issued in the States, Girls Aloud have sold close to 10 million albums in the UK alone, and 6 million singles in the UK, their sales in other markets are not known, but this past year they became the most succesful gir group in UK history by scoring their 15th consective Top 5 singles (which is what they have released so far) this shattered the Spice Girls who held the record for the UK at 10 in a row. Girls Aloud came from a reality show back in 2001 and they are listed as the most succesful "reality" show artist ever, beating all AI winners by far. They are currently on a UK tour which also set another record for selling out, and their 5th cd is due in October, they are not planning any work in the USA

as awesome as it is, it's not. you're not even supposed to use on thesis papers/any kinda paper. damnit. razz

it's not something you'd want to use as a reference in a scholarly work, but it is a great entry/jump-off point to get quick overview for pretty much any topic that of varying levels of interest. it's the first place I go when I'm looking for quick info. if I need more than that, I'll delve deeper and look elsewhere.

Well, they were huge in the R&B realm, but they didn't have a lot of crossover success (compared to those other groups). The first three singles from Funky Divas were the major exceptions. They would've sold many more albums if their heyday had been in the late '90s.
