Thank you, Anxiety (Betty Davis related)

Anx has been hyping Betty Davis's new remasters for a while now saying that the gurl's got some real funk in her. Soooo, I was in Helsinki today and saw a couple of her albums on sale and thought whattheheck. I bought 'Nasty Gal' and 'They Say I'm Different'. Well, what can I say? This is some stanky funk right here. The basslines are baaaadd cool
Thanks Anx, for hippin' me to Betty Davis thumbs up!
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Did you get the remastered 'They Say I'm Different' CD with the extra tracks and liner notes?

I went on amazon and I saw 2007 remasters for her first two albums, but not Nasty Gal. What's up? hmmm

nasty gal wasn't included in the recent remasters...UNFORTUNATELY.

personally, it's my favorite of her three "official" albums (there are a couple more out there, but they never got proper releases and exist mainly as bootlegs/rarities now), but it was released on a different label than her first two albums, which i can only assume explains why it didn't get remastered with the others this year.

funkenstein - you're welcome! and i hope you go back to pick up her first one. that's the one with larry and gregg on it, and the pointer sisters, sylvester, etc.

No.
If I recall correctly, they had the remastered version of her debut but for some reason I dediced to pick up these two albums instead. I'll have to get the remastered debut at some point.
