The early 70s episodes are my least favorite years....(except for the horrible pop filled late 80s and shit hop infested 90s)....because a lot of the music is less dance oriented and more bluesy oriented.

I know what you mean about the dancers on the show doing their dances in the late 70s, some of them look like they are dancing ballet steps and I never have liked couple-dancing. My favorites are the early 80s. The music of the early 80s was funky but funk had been modernized and the tempo speeded up due to the influence of disco which had dominated earlier. Most of the dancers had stopped all that ballet looking shit and started throwing down again, especially in 1980 and 1981. By 1982 or 1983 though, the music was great, but a lot of the dancers, especially the women, were stiff and rhthmless coming down the line. They were more concerned with being models than shaking ass. lol

I must admit, though, Iwould rather see the dancers couple dance down the isles

The couples dance fine when they are coming down the line because they are dancing separate and doing their own thing. I hate couple-dancing when couples have contact with each other such as the guy spinning the girl around or picking her up. I do, however, love to see couples having contact if the girl (or even another guy) gets in front of a guy and bends over and shakes ass while the guy thrusts his hips. I got thrown out of a lot of school dances for that one. lol

I think I like it when one person comes down the line at a time. When two come down, my eyes seem to constantly be darting from one person to the other trying to see what they are doing. However, if the guy is hot, my eyes are usually glued to his bulge and I don't even see what the woman is doing. I think I like them coming down the line separately so I can give them the same amount of attention....well almost. lol
