Born and raised in the D! 6 Mile and Gratiot!
We moved out in 1983 - so looking at these vids brought back some memories! I was too young to dress like this (you know when you're young your parents pick out your clothes! LOL)

LOL) Once a Detroiter, always a Detroiter. I was a teenager when that clip aired. I remember always making sure I was home by 6 o'clock so that I could watch The Scene. [Edited 5/26/07 9:06am]

but on the Scene clips. CLASSIC (and hilarious)! Hell yeah! Detroit has shown that man love since the beginning of his career. Let me not get starting on the exposure that Mojo gave him. The Scene even showed him love. It was on the Scene that I saw the Automatic video. You hear that Prince...bring your butt to the D! [Edited 5/26/07 12:43pm]

[Edited 5/26/07 8:52am] The Time also visited the set of the Scene, along with Vanity 6. I even remember when they premiered "Glamrous Life" by Ms. Sheila E.

isn't that bugged, i'd forgot all about that, The Time and Vanity Six DID stop by the Scene. you know that's STILL the only time i've ever seen the Automatic video. Prince knows The D. has to factor in to his concert jaunts at some point. I'll be patient.....for now

What ever happened to him? I mean, is he still alive and working somewhere? His log-off dialogue was awesome . . . "when you feel like you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on . .. " He actually did conduct an interview with Prince, and Prince said that Detroit was like his second home.

According to Wikipedia, he's working on getting his shows on satellite radio. That would be cool. Remember this: http://blogfiles.wfmu.org...en_rap.mp3
