Prince Pays Michael Jackson $10 Mil to Appear at Party! Okay, not OUR Prince... read on:
Michael Jackson will get paid TEN MILLION DOLLARS to appear at a birthday party for a prince of Brunei – and he doesn’t even have to sing a note! This, according to MSNBC.com’s The Scoop. Michael gets paid to mingle with the other guests at Prince Azim of Brunei’s 25th birthday party in England this weekend. The royal is said to be spending a total of $14 MILLION for the celebration. “Michael Jackson is his all-time idol and he said he’d pay whatever it took to get him over. Even though Michael won’t be performing, the very fact that he’ll be in this stately home mingling with all of the Prince’s pals makes it worth every penny to Azim” a source told the London Daily Mirror. Michael will be joined at the event by 200 guests, including Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell, Jerry Hall, Faye Dunaway and Kate Moss – and the word is that they’ll all receive thousands of dollars worth of pricey party favors, including diamond jewelry and electronic goodies. Dionne Warwick is also expected to appear, and is reportedly pocketing $500,000 for her efforts, but she’ll have to sing for her fee. Meanwhile, I have yet to receive my invitation. |

I wish i'd get that to attend a party.. I'd even sing for them, if they want to. [Edited 5/25/07 16:34pm]

Didn't this same Prince pay $5 million to get Mariah Carey to perform at one of his parties a few years ago? 'Cause I know he's a huge Mariah fan but anyway if this is true I aint mad at Mike, He is always being sued for something and the press is always going on and on and on about how he's supposedly broke so I say "Good for you MJ, Make that money!". "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

I ain't knockin' Michael's hustle it's said the prince is paying him 9 mil to just show up and wave! If it's true, he's one lucky bastard "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Don´t be jealous, guys. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Some people have more money than brains. I'm sure this money could've went towards helping the good citizens of Brunai, instead it's going to someone who will spend it on stuff he doesn't need. It's sickening.

When you're getting paid $9 mil to come to a party, buttons on your shirt don't matter! My ass would've showed up in sandals and pajama pants with a Whitney Houston shirt! As long as I'm gettin' paid! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Michael Jackson with Prince Azim at the bash in Leicestershire
Other guests at the party, which was held at the Stapleford Park Country House Hotel in Leicestershire, included Jerry Hall, Elizabeth Jagger, model Caprice, and actress Shannon Elizabeth. Dionne Warwick, Belinda Carlisle and Mario Vazquez were among the performers. Meanwhile workers pulled glittery suits and platinum records out of cardboard boxes ahead of what is being called the largest auction of Jackson family memorabilia ever. Scroll down for more Michael Jackson was reportedly paid £5million to attend the party Auction staff unpacked and displayed more than 1,100 lots including rhinestone-studded costumes, faded documents and other mementoes at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The items are expected to fetch millions of dollars from bidders from around the globe Wednesday and Thursday. "This really is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence," said Arlan Ettinger, president of auction house Guernsey's. "I cannot imagine that somewhere down the road some other collection could come out of the woodwork and rival this. It's not going to happen." A replica of The Jackson family's "Walk of Fame" star, an original piece of artwork of Michael Jackson from 1983 and a rendering of Michael Jackson as pictured on his 1979 album "Off the Wall," are among the items to be auctioned There's a Bill Whitten-designed militaristic red coat with gold rope that belonged to Michael Jackson, and a 1987 contract detailing his $30 million purchase of the California ranch that became the infamous "Neverland." There's also a frilly pink "Mae West" dress worn by Janet Jackson at age 8 during family performances at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 1974. In a worn telegram from July 6, 1984, Marlon Brando encourages Michael Jackson before a show: "Please try not to make an (expletive) of yourself and please for God's sakes don't fall in the orchestra pit." The items are to go on sale following a protracted court battle that ended two weeks ago when Michael Jackson's lawyers reached a confidential settlement and dropped an effort to block the auction. Richard Altomare, chief executive of Universal Express Inc., the Boca Raton, Florida, luggage transportation company that owns the items, said Jackson's lawyers settled when they were convinced they had no legal claim to the goods. "Despite his emotional attachment he had to accept he didn't have it," Altomare said. As part of the settlement, Jackson was formally invited to attend, although it was unclear if he planned to do so. Jackson, 48, has been living in Las Vegas planning his comeback after his 2005 acquittal in California on child molestation charges. The collection's former owner, New Jersey businessman Henry Vaccaro, took possession of the memorabilia in 2002 after a failed business venture wound up in bankruptcy court. Ettinger would not speculate on how much the sale would net, although he said his company has fielded inquiries from as far away as Europe and the Far East. Bidders can participate through liveauctioneers.com and eBay's live auction site. anyone have pics of BELINDA CARLISLE at this event?!?! LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣
