FuNkeNsteiN's massive music shopping spree!

Treated myself to a whole bunch of stuff while visiting Helsinki the past weekend.
Here's a list of the stuff I bought:

CDs

Parlet - Invasion Of The Booty Snatchers (From what I can tell, this is a pretty hard-to-find CD. Lucky me smile )
Madhouse - 16
Mutiny - How's Your Loose Booty?
Mutiny - Mutiny On The Mamaship
Bar-Kays - Do You See What I See?
Graham Central Station - GCS2000
The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds Of Fire
The Meters - Rejuvenation
Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye - Diana & Marvin
Ohio Players - Ecstasy
Ohio Players - Pleasure
Bar-Kays - Gotta Groove/Black Rock (2-in-1)
Pleasure - Dust Yourself Off/Accept No Substitutes (2-in-1)

LPs

Commodores - Natural High
Prince - Batman
Mazarati - Mazarati
Rick James - Glow
The Brothers Johnson - Light Up The Night
The Brothers Johnson - Right On Time (w/ booklet)
Slave - Hardness Of The World
The Meters - Fire On The Bayou
The Meters - Rejuvenation
Larry Graham - Just Be My Lady
Parlet - Pleasure Principle
Bootsy's Rubber Band - Bootsy? Player Of The Year (in very good condition, but the glasses are missing sad )
Aurra - A Little Love
Graham Central Station - Ain't No Bout-A-Doubt It
Lakeside - Your Wish Is My Command
The Temptations - Psychedelic Shack
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

What's on this album? I don't have that one. Is this back when The Barkays did mostly instrumentals?

Nice thumbs up! finds.

But the i opener for me is the Bar-kay's . I know it's on CD (re-issue).
I've been trying to cop this on LP for a while now, along with the Cold Blooded LP. both are in my opion heavily influenced by Slick and the Family Brick (Sly And The Family Stone) just listen to it.

I first peeped these visiting my cousin in Mississippi diggin' through his stash and listening to them almost 20 + years ago and still remember how good they were today. I had a couple of the songs on a cassette tape . I beleive it was thrashed several years ago. The ones that comes to mind from the Do You See What I See Lp are "It' Ain't Easy", "God Is Watching", "I Was Made To Love Her nod yes a Stevie cover and "Be Yourself but the whole LP is the shit. Oh yeah Vernon Burch was on this LP too.

Do You see What I See

I believe it was but there are some songs with larry singing lead vocals
on it. I listened to samples on amazon one night and i just couldn't get into
it. I want to hear the cold blooded album. I heard good things about it but
it isn't available on cd.

I suppose it's a mostly instrumental album. Haven't had the chance to listen to it yet.

$60.00 is an awful lot, but it is what it is. I'm still searching around town at the local half price book store. When you get a chance drop the stylus on this puppie ( Do You See What I See) and let me know what ya' think.

Sure thing, bro. I'm kinda occupied with my work and studies at the moment, so I don't have time to listen to music as much as I'd like to. Ah well, only two more weeks of this busy schedule and then I'm free wink

Where did you find this? I had been looking for it on vinyl, but downloaded it when I couldn't locate it. I think it's one of those things that just have to be on a worn-out, 80s budget vinyl. For the maximum effect.
