UK/US Music. How good is 2days scene? Ive been a prince fan since "u got the look"made the uk top 40 and obviously i have paid attention to other music.I thought that since the mid-ninties we have had a horrible overload of boybands and rubbish Spicegirl clones(excuse the all-saints music lovers.they were tasteful as far as girlbands went). The 1980's had its own personality that we will all never forget but the 90's lacked everything.Maybe its me getting more trendy,open-minded but i have really enjoyed Timbaland's Shock Value,Nelly Furtardo's Loose, justin timbalake,Bjorks new track(earth intruders),a band called CSS,another uk band called The new young pony club, etc, etc. To get to the point the music scene as awhole is very good, fun, and interesting. What do others think of the current music scene.good, bad, and what would u recommend.i personally love MIKA,and The Scissor Sisters.

the whole alternative rock thing (franz ferdinand, libertines, babyshambles, white stripes, killers, bloc party etc) is very interesting, but it's nothing new. most soul oriented musicans are making more of the same (maybe amy whinehouse makes a good job, but it's more pop than soul), rap and hip hop standing still, electronic music is no revolution anymore (even bands like lcd soundsystem sounds good). so i think, it's not the best time for music. but when did we have the last really "good time" for music? maybe end of the 70's/beginning of the 80's or if you're more positiv and like electronic music in the middle 90's? there will be always good music and good musicans, but I don't think, there will be happening much really new. all is full of love
