i like it, although it sounds like it's a dance remix of
a more soulfull original song.

perhaps a remix for a possible upcoming single?

regardless i love it. so good to hear some news from
lauryn!

Yeah I heard it and like it. It's so different
you gotta love it. Plus I always listen to her
lyrics as well as the music. I hope she drops
an album or something soon.

I think it sounds great and heartfelt.

I hope she is *back* for real.

It's from the soundtrack to "Surf's Up" which is that new animated movie about penguins or something. (what is it with all the damn animated penguin movies?!)

Multiple Grammy winner Lauryn Hill has contributed a new song to the upcoming soundtrack of the animated film Surf's Up. She performs the tune "Lose Myself" on the CD, which will be released by Columbia/Sony on June 5th. Other artists contributing new songs to the soundtrack include rock acts 311, Sugar Ray, Ken Andrews, Nine Black Alps and Big Nose.

Hill earned five Grammy Awards with her multi-platinum debut solo set The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill and then, after a court battle over the album's songwriting and personal issues, withdrew from the public eye. Public disputes with her former Fugees group mates Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean, led the band to dissolve.

However, the Fugees reunited last year for a series of concerts and a European tour and plan to release a new CD, their first since 1996's The Score. The group released the single "Take It Easy" last year.

Hill is also currently featured on a new single by rapper Method Man, titled "Say."

Surf's Up hits movie theaters on June 8th.

Her voice is a bit harder/more mature...makes the lyric even more believable. I like it.

SirPsycho

does this remind anybody of Jim Croce's "Operator" melody chord progression-wise....(replace "that's just the way it is" with "that's not the way it feels" and listen)

please tell me i'm not nutty
