R.Kelly's ego gets out of control! http://www.nypost.com/sev...esix_u.htm
Swollen Head NOTE to R. Kelly's ego: Come back to Earth! The full-of-himself R&B great tells the new issue Hip-Hop Soul: "My greatest competition is, well, me . . . I'm the Ali of today. I'm the Marvin Gaye of today. I'm the Bob Marley of today. I'm the Martin Luther King, or all the other greats that have come before us. And a lot of people are starting to realize that now." Maybe this will humble him - Kelly's trial on child porn charges is finally expected to start this summer who lets this fool talk?! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

R Kelly: "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

I can't wait for the douchebag to FINALLY go to trial later this year. Not a day too soon. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Ali? Marvin Gaye? Bob Marley? Martin Luther King? Okay R.Kelly has lost his mind if he thinks that he's impacted the world as much as these people have. The Jailbait charges and the horrible "Trapped In The Closet" videos have tainted his career.

^We need to forget about Trapped in the Closet". I'm shocked people are still fans after that shit. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

OK, his ego has been out of control for many years now.
Anyone remember that award show where he explicity sang about sucking pussy? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Remember "Innocent until proven guilty" More like a junior high cheerleader. Innocent proven guilty? That certain case from 2003-2005 was bullshit but they had that shit was in court before Michael could get put his weave in right! Kobe.....I don't know about that one..... But this one? His ass needs to be up under the jail "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Kelly goes, I don't think this case will ever go to trial. It's taking way too long. Aint nothing gonna happen to his ass (unfortunately). Are you sure about that. No one seems to be paying him any mind inspite of the in your face physical evidence there is against him.

Weave.. that was a lace front wig.... you don't recall seeing a close up of him and they pointed out the netting (the part they glue to the skin) around the side of his face

I think the man is a great singer/songwriter, but he's not that great.
Remember when Prince said a quote similar 2 this in the early 90s? Must be a thing with musicians in their late 30s. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

That's the only thing I like about him. It's just so over-the-top crap, how can you not love it? "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

Do you have a source or context? R. Kelly has written some really good songs, but great ones have been few. I lost interest in him some time ago, because I just haven't seen any evolution in him as a songwriter or performer. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Unfortunately, the 90's and current generation view him as the R&B marvin
gaye of their time. His ego is out of control which is nothing new. I agree with RZR. R.Kelly is at times so horrible lyrically that he is actually entertaining(funny)to watch at times. Trapped in the closet as horrible as it was, it was funny to watch as well as his video for i wish. I think that is the one where he talks about braid my hair. It is a shame he doesn't use his musical talent better. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I ignored his comment like I do his music. Clearly he has to be smoking something or drinking his own urine to compare himself to MLK.
Trapped in the Closet was some elementary bullsh*t and Flirt has a catchy chorus built around some great chords. Other than that it only made me think that he's still singing the same ole stuff. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Someone lock this twat up. R Kelly's a hack, who's been producing the same derivative drivel for twelve years or more, writes shit lyrics, commits statutory rape and pisses on his victim. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

home boy is trippin. when i read that quote i thought to myself, ok, marvin gaye? bob marley? ali? fine, he's a little delusional but it's kinda funny but when he had the audacity to say Martin Luther King, i'm like is he crazy? now he's lost the plot completely! what a character. i hope he was joking.
