R.Kelly's ego gets out of control!

http://www.nypost.com/sev...esix_u.htm

Swollen Head

NOTE to R. Kelly's ego: Come back to Earth! The full-of-himself R&B great tells the new issue Hip-Hop Soul: "My greatest competition is, well, me . . . I'm the Ali of today. I'm the Marvin Gaye of today. I'm the Bob Marley of today. I'm the Martin Luther King, or all the other greats that have come before us. And a lot of people are starting to realize that now." Maybe this will humble him - Kelly's trial on child porn charges is finally expected to start this summer

who lets this fool talk?!

I can't wait for the douchebag to FINALLY go to trial later this year. Not a day too soon.

Ali? Marvin Gaye? Bob Marley? Martin Luther King? Okay R.Kelly has lost his mind if he thinks that he's impacted the world as much as these people have. The Jailbait charges and the horrible "Trapped In The Closet" videos have tainted his career.

lol Michael had a nice weave going on during the trial, he should bring it back lol but as far as R. Kelly goes, I don't think this case will ever go to trial. It's taking way too long. Aint nothing gonna happen to his ass (unfortunately).

Weave.. that was a lace front wig.... you don't recall seeing a close up of him and they pointed out the netting (the part they glue to the skin) around the side of his face

I think the man is a great singer/songwriter, but he's not that great.

Remember when Prince said a quote similar 2 this in the early 90s?

Must be a thing with musicians in their late 30s.

Because R.Kelly had the audacity to push "Trapped In The Closet" for an emmy nomination! Unbelievable.

I don't ever remember Prince saying anything that outrageous. Do you have a source or context?

R. Kelly has written some really good songs, but great ones have been few. I lost interest in him some time ago, because I just haven't seen any evolution in him as a songwriter or performer.

Unfortunately, the 90's and current generation view him as the R&B marvin
gaye of their time. His ego is out of control which is nothing new.
I agree with RZR. R.Kelly is at times so horrible lyrically that he is actually
entertaining(funny)to watch at times. Trapped in the closet as horrible as it was, it was funny to watch as well as his video for i wish. I think that is the one where he talks about braid my hair. It is a shame he doesn't use his musical talent better.

I ignored his comment like I do his music. Clearly he has to be smoking something or drinking his own urine to compare himself to MLK.

Trapped in the Closet was some elementary bullsh*t and Flirt has a catchy chorus built around some great chords. Other than that it only made me think that he's still singing the same ole stuff.

Can someone call Al Sharpton....R KELLY comparing himself to MARTIN LUTHER KING, is he fucking kidding me. This ranks up there with his "Only Osama understands what im going through".

Someone lock this twat up. R Kelly's a hack, who's been producing the same derivative drivel for twelve years or more, writes shit lyrics, commits statutory rape and pisses on his victim.

home boy is trippin. when i read that quote i thought to myself, ok, marvin gaye? bob marley? ali? fine, he's a little delusional but it's kinda funny but when he had the audacity to say Martin Luther King, i'm like is he crazy? now he's lost the plot completely! what a character. i hope he was joking.
