R. Kelly has written some really good songs, but great ones have been few. I lost interest in him some time ago, because I just haven't seen any evolution in him as a songwriter or performer.

Unfortunately, the 90's and current generation view him as the R&B marvin
gaye of their time. His ego is out of control which is nothing new.
I agree with RZR. R.Kelly is at times so horrible lyrically that he is actually
entertaining(funny)to watch at times. Trapped in the closet as horrible as it was, it was funny to watch as well as his video for i wish. I think that is the one where he talks about braid my hair. It is a shame he doesn't use his musical talent better.

I ignored his comment like I do his music. Clearly he has to be smoking something or drinking his own urine to compare himself to MLK.

Trapped in the Closet was some elementary bullsh*t and Flirt has a catchy chorus built around some great chords. Other than that it only made me think that he's still singing the same ole stuff.
