I can't stand R. Kelly.

He has always come across as arrogant; needless to say his ego is not justified. He is a mediocre artist, and to hear him speak so highly of himself makes me sick.

What pisses me off more, is that he is actually recorded on video footage as having sexual relations with a minor and he doesn't appear to be getting any knuckle rapping for it - and you look at someone genuinely amazing like Michael Jackson - who has been proven INNOCENT IN THE COURT OF LAW and is still judged and vilified.
If there is one thing I abhor, it is double standards.

Does this guy even play an instrument - besides his penis? Seriously. I don't know much about him, but I swear R. Kelly is just your typical, ego-driven MOR R and B singer who thinks he's more importanat than he is. Is that it?

It actually makes sense if you pause to think. He's outlasted them all and stayed at the top dominating his era of music all the while. Whether you like his era and genre of music is besides the point.

Hahahahah. R. Kelly must have been high when he said this.

I love SOME of R. Kelly's music.
I love Marvin for the impact he had, for the lives he changed, for being willing to go against the mainstream and make records that had something to say.

R Kelly only has 2 styles of music
slow songs and sex songs. While I'm not saying his music sucks, I'm just saying, he needs to realize, in the big scheme of things, he is only a few notches less important than Bobby Brown. End of story.

I agree with RZR. R.Kelly is at times so horrible lyrically that he is actually
entertaining(funny)to watch at times. Trapped in the closet as horrible as it was, it was funny to watch as well as his video for i wish. I think that is the one where he talks about braid my hair. It is a shame he doesn't use his musical talent better.

falloff falloff Those lyrics were awful.....the video too. I used to re-enact it as a joke.
I was riding in my car one day, in the express lane, rolling on the freeway
And suddenly the phone rings, then I reached down beside me
Then I looked on the floor felt on the back seat

See I was drinking while I was driving.
Never thinking, ( bout), what I was doing
I turned around and before I knew it here comes this truck now.
The doctor said "I dont think he isn't gonna to make it."
Family said "Make the funeral arrangements."
Unplug the machine he’s gone now, then told my wife to be strong now
Then a small voice said unto me "If you promise to stop drinking,..."
I surrendered on that day.
Now for ten years I’ve been straight
((Chorus)) You saved me,(whoa) You saved me,(whoa) You saved me, you saved me (Thank you Jesus)
Gave me a second chance, you saved me, you saved me (Thank You Jesus)( Repeat 2 more times)
((verse 2))
Now I’ve been sitting in this chair, waiting on the phone to ring
Praying up to God, that someone would call me with a job opening
Cause it’s been so hard for me month to month struggling to eat
But still there was no answer(no answer)
I stop believing in his word and got so mad at him and when somebody say God’s good I’d just laugh at him (oh yeah)
But in the nick of time his blessings rained on me god is great the phone rings a lady says were hiring and that’s when I knew he ,,,,
((Chorus))
((verse 3))
I was 18 out there on the block selling drugs, with a gun at my waist
And for people I had no love
See the streets was my home and family and friends were gone had no one to trust and deep inside I was all alone
And then a deal went bad one day and it was enough to pause me
I was shot four times and before I knew it I was on my knees
Blood rushing out my body, my hearts beating fast, I don’t know Imma do don’t think I‘m gonna last then I began to flash back on the things I’ve done in my past
Then a very small voice said unto me I’ll give you peace if you believe
I accepted Christ that day hallelujah now I’m free!!!
((Chorus))
((verse 4))
I was in the aisle of the grocery store with pain in my chest
And I’m wondering were did it come from?
I got tested and the results came back
The doctor said "I’m sorry but you’ve got cancer."
I could not believe it so I called up my momma to calm my nerves
(Momma)she got down on her knees
(Momma)She said a prayer for me
(Momma) just keep on thanking Jesus
(Momma)"And He’ll give you all you need"(thank you Jesus)
Now that was five years ago don’t have that pain no mo
Doc said, "You can go home cause all your cancers gone!!!"

((Chorus))
((Ab lib in between chorus))
It was by grace that you saved me
I’m so thankful that you looked down on me
Saw me standing there
I was at the end of my rope

LOL @ the Hecklerspray write-up:

R Kelly Is A Boulevard Found In Many US Cities. Or Something.
May 18th, 2007 at 13:30 by Shawn Lindseth

http://www.hecklerspray.c...#more-8387

According to a recent one-question single-man poll, R Kelly is the most important person alive today.

Not only that, R Kelly is also a far superior specimen than several important men from history. For instance, the first three tracks off his second album could easily beat-up Alexander the Great's super-strong army of ninja squadrons. Also we heard he once sang several wonderful songs directly into Napoleon's mummified dinky-doo. In Kelly's neighbourhood such an act is a clear display of dominance. Do you understand now?

Because he's so awesome and everybody knows it, Kelly recently compared himself to Martin Luther King Jr, one of the most important global figures of the past two years or so. Since Kelly's well thought-out, lyrically perfect comparison, several raging people have expressed outrage at his enraging, rage-erific words.

Such people have forgotten the truest meaning of the word forgiveness. Amen.

R Kelly, a man who our sources tell us is writing more Bible, is greater than all great men rolled up into one gigantic great-man ball. It's true because he said so, and someone that important wouldn't lie:

"I'm the Ali of today. I'm the Marvin Gaye of today. I'm the Bob Marley of today. I'm the Martin Luther King, or all the other greats that have come before us. And a lot of people are starting to realize that now."

Kelly said as much in a forth coming edition of Hip Hop Soul magazine. His claim hasn't come without public backlash - enough that his slave had to try to clear things up:

"[Kelly] doesn't think he's Martin Luther King. He's comparing the fact that he is a prolific songwriter of his time; now it's turned into something else."

Never back peddle the truth, Kelly-slave, because the truth shall set you free. We thought the comments a bit odd at first too, but upon achieving the enlightenment that only watching a grown man sing with Yosemite Sam about flying (100 times in a row) can bring, we get it now.

We believe Kelly, in all of the wisdom he possesses, was spot on with his King comparison. Here are a few similarities directly spelled out for you:

1) Both men are Black.

2) Both men have (or had) similarly textured hair.

3) King fought hard to change the US government for the better, while the US government is fighting hard to make Kelly stop allegedly man-jabbing children on video.

4) King was sadly assassinated, while Kelly has the fathers of a few alleged underage sex-partners that want to kill him.

5) Kelly likes doing overly-long one-man productions about what it's like to be gay in a very small room filled with clothes and shoes, while homosexuality wasn't even invented until well over a year after King learned what it was.

See that? They're basically the same person.

"Innocent until proven guilty" = not proven guilty = innocent.

You can accuse anyone of absolutely anything without a smidgen of proof, so should they all be classed as "Not Guilty" and have something hanging over their heads for the rest of their lives? Just this past month someone who was falsely accused of being the serial killer in Ipswich last year killed himself because he was named and shamed by accident.
