Favorite Police Songs Well, since I am not one of the fortunate people to see them in Wrigley Field this summer in Chicago, I have settled for listening to my favorite songs from Message in a Box. They have so many great songs, what are you favorites? I'll kick it off...

The Police really had some great songs. I can just get lost in the imagery of some of Sting's lyrics. Then the musicianship and energy of so many of those songs just kick ass. They did their own thing and they did it to death! That was one of the great things about the '80s, so much individuality in the acts, not like this cookie-cutter, formualic crap that's being crammed down our throats today. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

My favorite of all time is "Canary In A Coalmine."
"King Of Pain" is probably my second fave. I like a lot of their stuff. "She made me glad to be a man"

Yeah, the musicianship and imagination is what instantly attracted me--they were pop Musicians... and I agree, I'm tired of these "Three Chords and The Truth" bands that keep popping up on Conan, Carson, Letterman, and Saturday Night Live.... ...
