hey in deciding on which "Essential Jacksons" comp i should cop recently, i decided on the one WITH State of Shock on it. lyrically anemic yes, but funky as hell to me. love the track and the guitar work. Hit #3 on the US Charts. not sure what the "buzz" was before hand. Say Say Say was a hit too, and it has aged a little better, i don't own any Beatles so i wasn't expecting anything "deep" from that collab, nice little pop ditty.

Whitney & Bobby - whatever the name of that song was - audio turd (ah, Something in Common)

I gotta add the duet with Lenny Kravitz and Mick Jagger in there. The two of them could've came up with something better then they did. The song they did together sucked. I didn't care for it.

How about James Brown and Aretha Franklin's "Gimme Your Love"? http://vids.myspace.com/i...2021384461

I think it came a little too late in both of their careers. I still haven't heard Prince's remix of that one.

On the alternative side, Morrissey and Siouxsie's "Interlude" looked like a slam dunk on paper. Then I heard the song. barf

Yes she did. It Ain't, It Neva Was, It Ain't Neva Gonna Be or some bullshit like that.

Naw man, "Say Say Say" was good in my opinion.

"State Of Shock" was utter doo doo.

What about Bowie & Jagger- Dancing in the Streets? I thought that was awful. And the video?! ew.

Get It is ok, favorite song on Characters, Characters is wack though.

Just Good Friends is lame.

hmph! I love that song. I also love "Get It" and I really like "Just Good Friends."

I also like "It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Ever Gonna Be." Most of all, I couldn't dream of saying anything bad about "Say Say Say." That's just wrong.

What about that stupid song by Christina and Ricky. That went nowhere.

"Nobody Wants To Be Lonely"? Or something like that. Ugh.
