I don't see how people say Prince is more James Brown than Sly. Sly is all over his style in regards to fashion, speech, mind set (sometimes!), humour, manerisms, Musical style and band members

i think he took from james too but Probably attitude and Rhythm.

Sly is the MAN.

Notice during the interview, he stated that he write songs while looking in the mirror....

indeed. Prince has recycled many of sly's quotes. Alot of his stage 'ad libs' are taken from sly too
