It was the same thing with Bilal, after I saw him live, I just lost interest. His show was a catastrophe. That boy was a hot mess. Maybe I have the giggles right now, but this shit made me laugh DAMN, how bad was it??? I didn't intend to make you laugh. But Bilal's show was just tragic to me. I saw him years ago on his promo tour just before his album dropped. Jaguar was the opening act and she was good. However, Bilal was another story. He just seemed out of it. I really thought he was on drugs or something. He was incoherent at times, he jumped into the audience and grabbed girls up to grope. I remember my friend could not get over how he was just feeling the girls up on stage. At other times he was just on stage mumbling and staring at the back of the venue like he was having a conversation with someone who wasn't there. He was trying to dance, I guess, but he just looked crazy and off balance. At times even the band was looking at him like WTF, because he was out of sync with them. You could tell they were just trying to follow him, but were frustrated. I don't even recall him fully completing a song. After awhile my friends and I had enough and left, along with several other people who were leaving at the same time. Everyone who was leaving was talking about what a disappointment he was and how they couldn't believe what they had just witnessed. I've seen a lot of shows, but nothing compares to that Bilal experience. It was sad and pathetic to me. His concert is the only one I have ever walked out on in utter disgust. I was done with him at that point. My sister, who was with me that night, bought his album and said it was pretty good, but that she would never pay money to see him again. So whenver I hear people talking about what a shame it was that his album didn't do better or that people sleep on him, I wonder if that show was not an isolated spectacle. I really wonder if something is not quite right with him, and maybe that has contributed to the way his career has gone. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I don't think I like any of
his albums as a whole except for Juslisen... LOVE THAT ALBUM!!! have yet to hear this new album in full I download so many albums PER DAY alot of them get lost in the mix (because I'll forget I even have them) I need to pull that out I've heard about half good/half bad comments about the album as a whole because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I also heard Musiq can be pretty boring Jaheim also I'm not real big on male R&B anyway not from this generation give me my Freddie Jacksons, Luthers Peabos, Frankie Beverlys, etc because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Actually, I should correct my statement. My sister was more like you, she said the album was pretty good, because there were about three or four songs that she REALLY liked. She also said there were hints of his craziness on the album. I never listened to it though. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

She's probably talking about the final song on the album which is the title track, where he goes through some sort of exorcism. Make Afros not War
