I know nobody listens to Dungen, but I figured I'd ask anyway

Anyone here fans of these Swedish psychedelic weirdo geniuses?

They have a new album out today, ya know.

So yeah, anyway. They're good. Really, really good.

They have a song called PANDA.

I mean, you know - how brilliant is that?

you would LOVE the new album...you'd love them both. they're trippy, meandering, but very melodic psychedelic rock. you'll want to put on silver pants while you're listening to them.

Listening now...music

The first piece, Intro, sounds like what would happen if you put some Blue Cheer, Ten Years After, It's A Beautiful Day and Ian Anderson's flute in a blender.

Not necessarily a bad thing. wink

Which should I buy first, the pants or the CD?

i was actually thinking of you while i was listening to their new album tonight. i read a bit of an interview with the main guy from dungen, and he said that he likes everything they do to have the same kind of groove as the "are you experienced" album. can't fault him for his tastes!

there are a coupla moments on the new dungen that remind me of zappa guitar solos. i kinda want my mom to hear it, but she's wary of anything remotely scandanavian that i try to push on her because she thinks i'm trying to trick her into listening to bjork. lol
