Skip to the next album biggrin There is some fonkay shit on there nod I actually was sold on dust but this shit is way beyond that if you're really that concerned about it lol

so I can use the first one as a coaster or something confused

I don't wanna buy the second one...I'm scarededdedd..lol

The second album is really nothing like the first. The first was a neo-soul knock off but this one is really bold in places. Starts out with a hell of a bang nod A little freaky funk, some rock, a couple ballads. Overall a really great listen nod

His debut really wasn't up to much. Generally bland ballads and boring mid-tempo R&B - nothing spectacular.

However, On The Jungle Floor is a masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Okay, I guess if you don't like Van Hunt, that's fine and all. But you said he has zero "originality" and then proceeded to say that Lenny Kravitz was "light years beyond him".

Think about that for a second....

I think both Van Hunt records were good but On The Jungle Floor was better by leaps and bounds.

Which changes the point how? He supports the statement by referencing his 'Let Love Rule' era. So clearly it wasn't entirely in jest.

Thanks Adisa...u got it wink ..

Im not a Lenny fan...BUT..
what he did in 1989 regardless of how derivitive it was of 60's/70's music..was More original and Fresh in 1989 than van hunts stuff is today...
He also is a better all around musician...and his stage presentation is 100000% greater than van hunts...EVEN back when he was a newbie on the music scene...I said EVEN Lenny Kravitz because I dont think he's that great..he's cool and has great style/carisma..but he aint a HEAVY music cat !...the jist of my comment was..EVEN he is far more unique /special/interesting than VAN HUNT !

i gotta agree with this..Van Hunt's image (in the live stuff i've seen) just bores me...and his fashion sense is atrocious.

Well damn, it's just as goofy to dislike Van for his image (vs. his music) as it is to be drawn to someone's image & put up w/ their shitty music nutty
