The first song on the cd was such a surprise "Rated R." I still like that song today.

I bought the last RT cd Rizzwafaire. Not that great.

I have no idea about what song you're talking, but "Stone Cold Gentleman" was a LaFace-written and -produced song (specifically, Babyface and Darryl Simmons). And generally, Ralph Tresvant did all the background vocals for his Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced songs.
