My 2nd favorite album of all time. Thanks so much for bringing this up, dude! I can listen to this album and never get tired or it. Martin Fry is a lyrical genius and the band never sounded better.

Amazing record! touched

Quite possibly one of the best pop albums ever recorded. Unfortunately, this album and band are highly underrated and underappreciated in the states. Yet another victim of the machine that is America's lightspeed-moving music trends -- never appreciating the music or style long enough for it to grow some roots. I digress... ABC's Lexicon is a fantastic pop album -- a tribute to the band, Martin Fry's voice and, most importantly, the sound (Trevor Horm's production). It's really impossible to skip a track on this album. I highly recommend the Deluxe remastered two-disc version, which (I believe) is only available as an import in the US. It has loads of extras and the sound quality is much improved from the original release. Horn produced many great albums, but this has to be one the best. Glad to see some others on the org that appreciate ABC and Trevor Horn.

I can't believe I had to argue with an orger about how this was better than "Beauty Stab". I don't think ABC has ever topped this album even if they did have some worthy albums later on like "How to be a Zillionaire" or "Beauty Stab".

There really is no comparison. Sure, both are inspired by Punk as well as Black music, but they've gone about in different ways.

I'm glad you brought this up! I feel like I'm the only person in the world with a copy of the USA-DUB mix of "The Look Of Love." It was released domestically on the Mercury label. It's a "trippy" version of the song using a lot of studio tricks by Trevor Horn. Anybody else know this version?
