...Speaking of donnie- I heard (from a fellow independent soul artist[fellow as in "fellow 2 Donnie"]) that Donnie was slated 2 open for Prince sometime ago, and he was acting real diva-ish during soundcheck. Someone pointed out that Prince was seated in the back of the venue and had suggested that Donnie adjust a few things so he could be heard clearer, to which Donnie replied "I don't give a fuck who thinks I should do what! This is my portion of the show!". Reportedly, after this Donnie was asked 2 leave the tour, and Mowtown was very upset. I know this sounds more like a rumor than anything (especially since this is the org) but I really did hear this from an industry insider. Being on the org, and seeing a Donnie thread- I remembered the speaker in my Music Biz course. Her name is Maya Azucena if it makes a difference. 
Besides that, I kinda like the song- but I'm skeptical as to whether I'll like the new CD as much as the first.  | |
