I also think that at this point his career MJ should have released more albums than he has. He really only has 5 proper solo albums. When you compare that to his peers like Prince, Madonna, Janet, etc. that's not a lot. He takes forever to make albums.. Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, will.i.am, Neff-U, Big Chuck, Sean Garret, Akon, John Legend, Ne-Yo and OneRepublic have all been working with Michael Jackson. What has MJ got against using real musicians on his albums? It's always 'programmers' and producers ( and let's not go near the rappers). I'd love to hear him play/ record with a real live funky band. That's where he came from, with his brothers backing him. I know he's had guests like Santana and others, but I mean a mostly/ wholly 'live' sound. If the above info is true, he's still chasing the hits with something to prove, it seems. I don't mind the 'something to prove' bit, but imo MJ should just make the best record he can make, regardless of how 'commercial' it has to be. And let's pray he has the sense to finally steer clear of those hideous ballads, especially the ones relating to children. That kind of connection is counter-productive imo. I'd just love to hear him play with a live, versatile funk band. That's his musical 'home' imo, not all this chasing trends etc. And he better say 'chamone' somewhere on the new album too. He hasn't said it since 'Dangerous' on record to my knowledge. Maybe the 'chamone' factor is what he needs to get a new hit.

i am sure 'chamone' is used in the 'You Rock my World' Video but to be honest i can't remember if it was said by Michael or Chris Tucker

According to this link (to an MJ discussion board) it is still only a rumor, and even on this discussion board they are at eachother's throats! We should really wait for an official announcement. But, I see no harm in discussing the possibilities. |

DarlingDiana said: Yes, that's right. The title of Michael Jackson's new album has been revealed (along with some more interesting information about the album) by a self-proclaimed MJ "insider". The insider I'm referring to actually has been supplying fans with revealing information since the Invincible album. This is what we now know about Michael Jackson's new album.
The working title for the album is 7EVEN, and it seems as though that title will stick because some serious work has gone into designing the album cover and everything on the album apparently has something to do with the number 7. There are 14 tracks divided into a A and B side (if you will). Although all tracks are still on the same disc. I don't know much else about the album's relation to the number 7. Some fans have suggested 7 singles. Or 7 videos. The album could run for 77 minutes. Who knows? As for the release date. A HMV in Oxford is apparently already advertising the release date as November 19 2007. According the the MJ insider the debut single will come out in September but the album wont be released until November. A little bit about the album cover design has also been revealed. Apparently this will appear on the album cover in same shape or form... The MICHAELJACKSON in the shape of a 7 is a key point of the album cover's design and will apparently be used a lot as a logo for the album and everything else that comes with it. As for who is working on the album. Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, will.i.am, Neff-U, Big Chuck, Sean Garret, Akon, John Legend, Ne-Yo and OneRepublic have all been working with Michael Jackson. Out of all the material that has been recording, what actually goes on the album is a different story. Of that long list of names only 2 or 3 of them may have material that makes it on the album. So there you have it. Michael Jackson's 7EVEN coming out November 2007. Enjoy! this hasn't been confirmed "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

If you haven't figured it out already, the reason S is replaced with 7 and not V is because it's supposed to read as 7 even as well as seven. It's probably just some fan-made rumour, but apparently the title track ("7EVEN") is all about "getting even".

GOOD! I hope that's true. I love his angry songs when he's lashing out like "Leave Me Alone", "Tabloid Junkie", "This Time Around", "Scream", "F**K You, kiss my black and white ass" (unreleased track) etc. I hope this song is similar to the ones I mentioned. There's one thing we have to keep in mind: When Michael's making an album.....WE NEVER KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IS REALLY GOING ON until 2 months before the album comes out. Anyone who remembers Invincible knows that there's always rumors and people saying, "O yeah, I'm working with Michael Jackson, we're making hits" then their shit doesn't even show up on the set. I can go down a list to show how many people were rumored to work with Michael in 1998-2001 yet barely any of them. Also, MJ Fan rumors are horrible so it's better to ignore them, like I've done (I'm cool like that, bitches ) "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
